This pumpkin houmous is super simple to make and is a tasty, healthy snack for your little ones with only 5 minutes prep time – it’s an easy autumn recipe perfect for their lunchboxes.
- 2 cans chickpeas, drained
- 425g pumpkin flesh
- 2 tbsp tahini
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 tsp salt
- 1.5 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp cumin, ground
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- Quarter tsp paprika

- Add all the ingredients into the blender and blend for a few seconds until smooth, adding a little more oil if it’s too thick.
- Storing is easy too. Keep it in a tub in the fridge and grab it whenever you need a snack.
- Make it look like a pumpkin! Spread the houmous into a pumpkin shape and make a green stem using snap peas, cucumber or lettuce. Top with toasted pumpkin seeds!
