These healthy snacks are a great summer holiday project. Enjoy them in the sunshine and have fun decorating them with your favourite sprinkles and toppings!
Bananas
Natural yoghurt
Chocolate
2 tall glasses or mugs
A baking tray
Wooden lollipop sticks
Toppings – sprinkles, chopped nuts, desiccated coconut, chopped dried pineapple or other dried fruits.
- Peel the bananas and cut them in half. Stick a lolly stick into one end and lay them flat onto a baking tray. Pop them in the freezer for an hour.
- Pour the yoghurt into a glass or mug ready for dipping and get another ready for the chocolate. Take the bananas out of the freezer and pop each one into the yoghurt to fully coat them. Lay them back onto the baking sheet and re freeze until set.
- Meanwhile prepare your toppings and melt your chocolate. When the yoghurt is set pour the melted chocolate into the glass. Dip each banana and sprinkle on your toppings. The chocolate should set straight away so for an extra indulgent treat dip it twice.
- Pop your bananas back onto the baking tray and keep in the freezer until ready to eat.
For a party why not dust them with some edible glitter?
