Packed with homemade cakes, artisan breads, locally sourced meats, cheeses and tempting treats, there is all you require for your festive feasting. Or why not create your own Christmas hamper? You can do this in store or order online using their ‘click and collect’ service. For the budding Mary Berry, the Kitchen Shop is a treasure trove for all things cookery.

With two on-site cafés, The Venus Company and Bayards Kitchen, you can relax with a great coffee and a slice of handmade cake.

The Shops at Dartington’s Top Tips for Festive Hosting

  • Need to chill wine down quickly? Wrap the bottles in a damp tea-towel before popping in the freezer. It’ll be ice-cold in less than half an hour. Alternatively, pick up a Corkcicle from our kitchen shop. This nifty gadget chills down wine from inside the bottle, taking no time at all. Simply leave it in the freezer in between use.
  • For a tasty Boxing Day dessert, whip up a quick Christmas pudding roll. Simply take a sheet of pre-rolled, shop-bought puff pastry, and cover it with broken-up leftover Christmas pudding. Roll it up and egg wash. Bake at 200C for approximately 20 mins when it will be golden brown. Dust with icing sugar and smugly present to the family.
